Telenor and Bharti Airtel Partner to offer Intra-circle Roaming in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

Telenor India has recently entered into an intra-circle roaming agreement with Bharti Airtel in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circles. Under this arrangement Telenor subscribers will be able to avail 3G services and a wider range of 4G services along with high-speed internet on roaming within the state. The telecom operator is set to soon merge its operations with Bharti Airtel.

Telenor 2G data and 4G data services

Telenor has been already providing LTE technology supported 2G data and 4G services in the aforementioned circles. With the new collaboration, the operator will now offer affordable high-speed data across 14,254 additional towns and villages with wider network coverage.

The Circle Business Head of Telenor India, Shrinath Kotian explained that as a customer centric company, Telenor needs to provide a good network presence and connect users with sabse sasta product. “All they need is to have a 3G or 4G enabled phone to experience high-speed data all over AP & TS. With this new initiative, we will strengthen our voice and data coverage and ensure customer satisfaction while they are roaming within the state” added Kotian.

Telenor offers High-speed Internet

To avail the new services, customers need to have a 3G/4G enabled handset along with Telenor 4G SIM to get 4G speed and 2G SIM to get 3G speed. With affordable STVs Telenor is aiming to provide better voice quality and coverage. Its mobile plans range from INR 9 to INR 349 and include up to 28GB data per month. INR 28 plan offers 200MB data for seven days.

To avail the new tariff plans, AP & TS based customers can either subscribe through www.telenor.in/4G or the Telenor India mobile app. They could also get this done at the nearest Telenor store or by simply dialing *121# from their mobile phones.

Telenor has a strong presence in AP & TS circles and the operator registered the highest upload speed in Telangana region according to a report published by OpenSignal. Currently Telenor has approximately 299 distributors, 47000 Points of sale, 222 exclusive stores and around 3.8 million customers in AP & TS circle.
