In September, Reliance Jio had recorded a high average 4G download speed of 21.9 megabit per second which is 2.5 times faster than what Vodafone is providing. This report was presented by TRAI. Recent reports show that Vodafone’s 4G network registered an average download speed of 8.7 Mbps in the month.
Reliance Jio’s 4G download speed which was recorded at 19.3 Mbps by the end of August has shown a remarkable rise up to 21.9 Mbps in September. Users collected this data through MySpeed app of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). Idea Cellular and Bharti Airtel are reported to have been at a download speed of 8.6 Mbps and 7.5 Mbps respectively. Through its MySpeed application, TRAI collects and records data download speed.
Nevertheless Idea Cellular has outranked other operators in terms of its upload speed which was recorded at 6.4 Mbps. For social media sharing and emailing, uploading is considered as an important feature. After Idea Cellular it was Vodafone at 5.8Mbps, Reliance Jio at 4.3 Mbps and Bharti Airtel at 4 Mbps.
